leziate reminds us that there is not just one chess game left in this world, but rather, as many as needed...and opponents can alternate sides.

harmony in 3d, if you ask me.

I'm not sure what you've stumbled onto here!  If you think about it, hate also explains every type of behavior.  Don't believe me?  Name any behavior and I'll explain it for you.

When I flush the toilet: I hate my poop, I hate the silence, I hate the smell --
When I eat doritos: I hate the chip, I hate being hungry, I hate triangle shaped food --
When I take time to comment on this stuff: I hate using my time productively, I hate talking to rational people, I hate reading posts the make sense.

etc.

Funnily, all of my actions can be explained by means of love using the same examples.

Oh, I've said too much again, haven't I?

You've missed the joke, evidently.

MyCowsCanFly

Should we hate people that hate?

TheHomeless

It's not "white" that always goes first.

right-sided king always goes first.

Not about the color, it's about the pieces placement.

how sad

Hey, I like love as much as the next guy.  But what is it when measured against disgusting excrement-based jokes?

What are the good reasons for an obscession with race in this country?

Isn't that kind of self-evident?  Dred Scott, Harper's Ferry, The Missouri Compromise, The Compromise of 1850, "The Abolitionist", Lincoln, Davis, Jefferson, Washington, Jackson, Secession, Civil War, Klu Klux Klan, Jim Crow, etc.  Those are all pretty good reasons and mostly just related to before the 20th Century.  Never mind all the volatile stuff related to the 1960s.  We have norms, then radicals come along and try to change things. Then all sorts of mixed things happen as a result.  Sometimes the white guys are the radicals, some times the black guys are the radicals.  It's no wonder we are obsessed with race.  Of course none of this relates to chess at all.

and all of them not unlike the modern progressive.

This may not relate to chess, but you brought it up. I, personally, am not obsessed with race. I don't know anyone who's pissed off about the Dred Scott decision. I'd be interested to know what you consider radical behavior by blacks and whites and how it pertains to our daily lives. By definition, the vast majority of people don't engage in radical behavior. And how do asians fit into your obsession?

I never said it was MY obsession.  It's not.  I meant collectively.  I thought that was clear.   Also, I think that's adequate perspective from me for now.   This all goes off on tangents too much.

P.S. That's from the original Batman movie about the United Nations.  The whole camp aspect with the bomb was hysterical.

willpeet

Yes...There aren't many games that put black and white on opposite sides of the board, and there's no peace when they run into each other.

Who was this Scott guy and why does everybody dread him?
