Is Chess really a waste of time?

The fact that chess.com allows pics to remain that mock Christianity is all the proof I need that there's a double standard. Post away! You're just proving my point!

Ubik42

I am going to bet your post gets deleted before mine, because you are talking the topic and I am posting pics of defenceless kittehs.

Ur doin it RONG!

Ubik42

Well, you thinking that my posts should be deleted while your remains is all the proof anyone needs that the double standard is in YOUR head.

Like I said, my posts are not deragoroty. I could show you deragatory, but I suspect it would get deleted, and rightfully so.

Psalm25

Mocking Christianity is derogatory and I'm not saying my posts should remain. I'm saying under chess.com's policy ALL POSTS that reference or concern religion should be deleted.

You're still stuck in stereotypes of the holier-than-thou Bible thumper/hypocrite who sins at every turn. Expand your mind

Who, pray tell, has written a deragatory post?

Not me. If I wrote an honest opinion on the topic, (beginning with, say, the Catholic Church's sexual abuse coverup scandal), you would learn a new meaning to the phrase "deragatory", since my opinion on the whole farce is about as low as can be.

But, I will refrain. Instead, I restrict myself to cute pictures of kitty kats.

What does a "church scandal" have to do with Christianity?  You cannot be a stupid as you pretend.

I can assure you I am well aware of the various flavors religious believers come in.

Check out the results of : http://www.pewforum.org/u-s-religious-knowledge-survey-who-knows-what-about-religion.aspx

We non-believers outdo the believers even when it comes to knowledge of their own religion. I only missed one question on that poll.

Only if you have to move the same piece twice.

Those pics don't offend me, and, as I've said, they just prove the point I was making about chess.com's double standard. Now that the double standard has been proven, I'm moving on. Cheerio! Good luck in your chess games!:)

Christians like to pretend they are moral and atheists immoral. So it is good to see them do an about-face on the issue and then claim that a church scandal has nothing to do with christianity.

They want to have it both ways.

You mean not proven, since all our posts remain.

Generalizations are unworthy of an educated man, as are false statements of indignation, if one wishes to address something as vile as pedophilia why not do so in a context that is all encompassing?  Rather than use such acusations only for the sake of turmoil.

The words and ideology of Jesus Christ stands on its own merit, and should be judged accordingly, not by the misdeeds of those who pretend to agree with these precepts.
