Summer time maybe?
is chess.com dying?
lol @ bb_gum234
I find it to be a vibrant community I don't notice anything going on. If my own experience is a reflection of the larger pool, however, I too have been playing less the past few weeks. My kid sister is visitng, I'm doing summer school, etc..

Usually there are between 15,000 and 25,000 people logged on at any given time. I notice Chess.com says there are over 12 Million members...not sure what is meant by that claim. Perhaps that many people have a password for this site....
Hundreds of people only enter chess.com at their first day and never enter it again

Dont all chess websites do some "house cleaning" and delete old, unused accounts?.
Unfortunately,no.....

The real question is : was it ever alive or was it just a monster created by its evil genius owner to suck the time and money out unsuspecting internet users ? I don't know. These and other questions need answering.

In my humble opinion it's the other way round. chess.com was frail but is finally coming alive and kicking. the last ailment are the thematic games that still don't manage to appear in the player's database. otherwise chess.com seems fit as a fiddle.

Can't even rotate an image 90 degrees.
Wants to critique websites.
What if its ...
... supposed to be sidewards?
It seems like there are less and less players day after day and the groups are also dying. The chat rooms are empty and the website is silent
