Since no one answered I guess it is just me......
Is it just me, but r my opponents improving?

In all situations, one's rating should only decrease or increase based on your results against opponents. I doesn't, to the best of my knowledge, have anything to do with the number of players or their ratings.

Yes, but I assume the original poster's problem is that he's losing more games than before, to players whose rating is the same as those he used to beat. Lose more games ---> lower rating
I can't provide a qualified answer, as I don't play in the 2400+ rating range. However, it is highly unlikely that your chess ability is declining. Maybe you have a bad streak, are stressed, or are indeed playing harder opponents. Whichever of these factors it is is impossible to tell, but I hope that you still enjoy your chess games. Because if you do, that's all that matters.
Your rating is a mere number. Don't let it bring you down.

Puchiko that's it.
Some months ago there was around 1,500 players at the Live Chess every time I logged in.
Now there are around 3,500 players. It seems that a lot of players came from another site that was acquired.
I think rating is relative to a specific cluster of players.. If this cluster increases and theoretically better players gather in, the trend is that weaker players like me have his rating reduced. That's what I guess it is happening.
Is your rating 2400 or 1100? On the mouse-over, it says you are 2400 in turn-based, and then your profile only gives your blitz rating of 1100. I've never heard of a 1300 point difference, although I know some players are better at one respective of others.
I've noticed that many players on this site that I play are 200-300 points lower now than their peak. I do not think that they have become bad at chess, since a general rule of thumb is practice makes you better, but instead that they have become burnt out. They are playing the same openings over and over again, and chess is just losing that flare it once had. I think you should either take a break from chess, perhaps, or at least decrease your frequency of play, or try out some new moves that fit your style. Check out the Danish Gambit/Smith Morra or perhaps even the Blackmar-Diemer (as white) or the Scandanavian as black. I am not claiming that those openings are necessarily superior over others, but they tend to promise exciting games in blitz.

That is odd. A live chess rating of a beginner yet master strength in online play.
fungus amungus indeed

One might think that both your blitz games which exceed over 800 in number, and your turn-based games (+160) would give a pretty reliable evaluation of your rating. One might also think that a rating difference of 1300 points between blitz (where there's little time to cheat) and turn-based (where there's plenty) just might borderline on the suspicious. Furthermore, whilst digging around for dirt, one might find it all the more suspicious that none of your turn-based games are available to view. Maybe they're outdated?
One of course doesn't wish to cast the first stone, but one just might pass the rock to the second fellow and whisper 'do it, do it' in his ear.
[EDIT: Seems like your last turn-based game was played in 2009, so they are out-dated, and thus unavailable for inspection. Shame huh?]

I quit online chess some time ago. Peaked 1350 at live chess and then started to melt. This is exacly what I am talking about...

Your opponents are improving, at least some of them. Maybe you're getting worse or you're simply facing harder opponents.

wow good advice but 11 years late lol

There are a ton of no lifers who got used to sitting at home due to the pandemic who play this game like it's the deciding game of Fischer/Spassky. They're all over the place. With no money on the line or nothing to actually achieve from a win: I nor any other sane, reasonable, social person gets it at all.
most people don't take chess as seriously as you think

Recently my live rating has decreased 100 points and it it is very tough to recover. It seems that the total number of players in this site increased and the majority of newcomers are better than mine. Would this justify my rating decrease? I play mainly 5 0.
This topic is 11 years old (I guess the kid @megacharizardleo couldn't find an older one, heh)
But re: the part in bold, the answer is "no."
I can give you details if you want, but the simple version is that the rating system is designed so that the impact of new players on your rating is as close to zero as possible.
