I recently downloaded a scratch board(SB) app on to my pc in which 2 humans play for both sides white and black ( and no engines are involved). Usually the same human plays for both sides. This can be very useful as a thinking ahead tool.
Now let us say I am playing a game on chess.com in my web browser on my pc. Can I open this SB app and copy the moves from my real game to the SB and use it to play ahead 2 or 3 moves for both me and my opponent. Once I decide on the SB the best move, then I play that on chess.com. Is this allowed or would this be considered foul and cheating? No engines are involved and no help from any software. It just helps so that you don't have to keep everything in your head.
Ive been contemplating this but never done it so far.
Thanks
