Is it true that Chess increases Depression?

No, not in and of itself. However, it attracts a personality type which may be prone to or suscepible to depression.

It can like many other activities. I have even seen pool players break their own cue sticks in anger because they were either playing like crap or missed an easy shot. Tennis players will act in such a way, too.
