I have CHANGED the diagram, so there is no longer any difference.

The f8 square is blocked, so Black cannot reply to c7 discovered check with Kf8.

I let Stockfish run for a little bit. He says that Rc6 is winning, but multiple moves are practically just as good. 0-0 is one of them, and also the bizarre Rb5. A plethora of other moves are also good for white.

This is an awful puzzle. That GM didn't do a good job with his book.

Okay, so before we close this topic, I still want to ask someone to post a good position that might test my engine.

Hopefully something that is solvable but requires a good engine to find the right move.
