Is online chess enough to get improve?

I am low rated, for sure highest related players will give a better opinion about this. But i'm quite sure that chess on the board at the club is important if you want to improve your chess.

Hi,anyone knows if playing chess just online is enough to get improve chess skills?Because i am in a chess club near me but there players are "bad people",they always want to have reason and i am always wrong.So,should i go on to play also in my chess club or do u think i can get improve playing only on the net?Thanks in advance!
