Is the chess.com app free?

Please answer this question if you no the answer. The app store says "In app purchase" what does that mean?

The app and a basic membership is free. The basic membership has limited access to some features.

The in-app purchases are related to the three membership levels; Good, Platinum, and Diamond.

Technically it's free to download but ya got to pay if you wanna experience the best of it. Like unlimited puzzle rush and stuff, so I would say "free"

In app purchase, is basically like micro transaction with in a game. :mate :resign

chess.com is completely free yoou only pay to become platinium or diamond member
