Several people have told me to change my username and “have some dignity”. Is my username bad, or are those people just being rude?

Aren't 'Taters' just potatoes?
I simply thought you must like potatoes! 😂
Maybe in different parts of the world it means something rude like very large genitals or even just a swear word. 🤔
I just used it because it was an old nickname from my grandfather.

Just ignore them. If it was offensive the Mods would have told you. On a site with over 200 million members there is always somebody who will be offended when the vast majority aren't.
