But he has lost nearly 200 games - so either he's being outplayed or he's a bit slower than his opponents and has difficulty handling the time - you might be able to find a consistent pattern and then exploit it if you ever play him.

I am not sure if it is Magnus. Magnus is incredibly fast, and maybe would have an even higher winrate against an average of 2500. On the other hand, Magnus can play around anonymously, playing with fun and dubious plans.
There are other very fast masters in Norway, such as GM Frode Olav Olsen Urkedal and IM Johan Sebastian Christiansen (fresh Norwegian blitzchampion).

If that's the case, then I don't think he would have dropped that many hints about his identity (the username, the Norweigian flag). And if indeed this guy was online when Magnus was playing in Bilbao, as some have claimed, then it's definitely not Magnus.
But of course, as others have pointed out, the rating definitely limits the number of possibilities as to who he is. And if it is another top GM, then in all likelihood he's probably good friends with Magnus (maybe another Norweigian GM, as Djonni has suggested), or else it would seem a bit disrespectful to be imitating him.
Personally I don't think it's Carlsen, having played him 3 times and achieving completely winning positions in 2 of them. To be able to reach 3000+ bullet he is clearly a very strong player, but I doubt it's Magnus as he has often relied on luck/flagging skills against much weaker opponents. Something that Magnus would not need, as the real MC would crush inferior opponents positionally wise.

No he is not carlsen. Carlsen was playing in Bilbao yesterday when this guy was also online. So its surely not carlsen

I'm sure his girlfriend is a very strong player.
I saw that there was several games against GM Tigran Petrosian, and their results were ca equal. Petrosians rating is 2587 standard Fide and 2760 blitz Fide. He or she maybe has ratings at the same level.
GM Aryan Tari has standard 2561 fide, if the Norwegian flag is correct, he is close, and he didnt play NM at Tromsø . GM Simen Agdestein (2603)didnt play at Tromsø either. GM Hammer didnt play In Tromsø (2652). Agdestein for sure had holiday/vacation.

I remember hearing the name sophiste or something like that.
His username is stoptryinghard, now we all know that Carlsen's username in ICC is stoptryharding.
If that's the case, then I'm inclined to believe that this guy isn't Carlsen. It seems like he's trying too hard to imitate Carlsen, with the username and the Norwegian flag. If it were Carlsen himself, I imagine that he wouldn't want it to be so obvious.
But, how do you explain the 3000+ rating? He looks just too strong for any normal titled player.
