Issue with the newly-updated game report

Hello, all,

I have noticed that the game report feature on chess.com has recently been changed.  Overall, I think the changes are fine, but this just happened to me when I was analyzing a game I played just minutes ago.  Now, I'm certainly not a master, so I could be missing something here, and of course, I had a pretty big advantage at this point in the game anyway.  But still, you expect better from a computer.

Has anyone else had issues with the updated game report? See anything wrong with this picture?

I realize that the picture is kind of blurry.  So, to clarify this, the computer here is saying that black should move the queen to b5 and that this move would win material.

I fail to understand this . . . .

When a side is that far behind, it doesn't matter too much what is played. Based on the depth, it's saying that black postpones mate by one move by moving there.

Okay, that makes sense.  I guess at this point, black is just trying to prolong the game a little bit.

Thanks for your answer!

it threatens to win a piece, which makes no sense as it will be captured

The explanation is off, which I know is something the site is actively working on improving, but the analysis isn't.

Yeah.  I'm a free member, so I take what I can get.  meh.png

Here is another example that just happened today.  Again, I was winning, or at least I had an advantage, but still, the computer could do better.

It's the same idea. Black is really behind so pretty much any move is as good as any other.

In the image, Qb5 is best because black gets mated in six moves instead of five. I think it's working just fine lol
