Ivanov guilty of winning?
I agree there is no proof he cheated, remember it's called innocent until proven guilty. He is a grandmaster, so it's possible he is very good player
I could be wrong, but the last i heard this guy was nowhere near being a Grandmaster he hasn't even made to IM i believe

The reason why people are not letting this go is that they feel something is missing, depsite the mathematical analysis, which shows how much his moves match that of houdinis.
I suppose in some ways it is just good science. If you have a mathematical theory that says you can find such and such a thing at such and such a place, and the experiment can be duplicated, then you have tangible proof that your theory is good.
In Ivanov's case the theory is good, but no pudding. In all cases he is definitely cheating, but acting from theory or reason alone, is weak.
To say the numbers don't lie...I think people have learnt their lesson, not to rely on any one man's opinion or authority or reason to pass judgements, bad things happen quickly.
I think that is why he hasn't been banned. They will have to do a full body scan or something to put the matter to rest.
If they find something then everyone can be sure that the Dr. Regan's theory is good, and gives accurate prediction.
Because if there is an off chance that he is not cheating then too many people will be guilty of false accusations; right now it is just Ivanov who is behaving wrongly (supposedly).

I can't believe that people are defending him. All you have to do is look at the facts.
- He was playing at a ~2200 level when all of a sudden he managed to beat 5 grandmasters in one tournament.
- Before the allegations of cheating a couple years ago he was a mediocre player playing in small tournaments and not winning the top prizes.
- Many of his games, especially those agaisnt the grandmasters, have moves which match Houdini's best moves move for move.
- In the instance where someone suspected him of having a cheating device in his shoes, he was acting nervous and adamantly refused to remove them when it would have proven his innocence.
- A bulge was seen under his shirt during a tournament and someone felt a device when they touched his back.
- When he was being strip searched, some sort of electronic device was seen under his shirt strapped to his chest, at which point he refused to allow any further searching and left the tournament.
- When he was offered a chance to take a lie detector test to clear his name, he claimed he couldn't make it because he had to attend some small tournament instead.
While it's not 100% conclusive beyond any doubt, all the evidence points toward cheating and any reasonable person would have to make that conclusion.
Like I said, it's just a matter of time before he's caught and incontrovertable evidence is shown.
