That's my understanding, yes. If you piss off the wrong few people on here, you're gone... premium member or not. That's why there are so many suck-ups and sycophants on here. They are all scared of getting banned.
I dunno about ass-kissing, but there are an awful lot of twerps who will scream to the mods if you:
1. disagree with them in a reasoned, logical way
2. have any kind of fun at all
For a while we just ignored them and had fun, but I guess they got some new mods who think that just because somebody whines, they have to do something about it.
Well, I am very sad. In a recent thread, jeroen_n offered to play a game with me and comment on my moves, and we did indeed play a game, and I found his comments very helpful. It was just like having my own personal chess tutor. We started a second game, but half way through it his account was closed. It's so hard to believe he was cheating. Does anyone know what happened?
