I actually asked a question here which i couldn't emphasize it properly. If adaptive bots are adapting to you and you are a high rated player so bot will be adapted to your play. But what is his rating for then? Is it an indicator how well it can adapt.. if so, can we call it ELO?
Jimmy (600) - Adaptive

man i beat jimmy so much
chess.com should enhance or up his rating
and no, I;m not actually 106 years old

There was a bug back then, some bots were playing at maximum power. It is fixed now.
lol Jimmy tryhard mode activated
*eyes turn red and shoot lasers while boss music starts to play...*

Why do you guys want to chang Jimmys rating ,is 600 too little ?
lol
No Jimmy is correctly rated around 600, but an "adaptive bot" can "learn" and if you play tougher then it will too. There was a chess.com glitch (fixed now) where some adaptive bots were playing up to max computer level. The chess.com bots probably use Stockfish, so the 600 rated Jimmy could end up "learning" to playing like 3200+ level xD
It was a glitch that is fixed now though.

target.. human!! destroy.. bzzt
I see no more posts around this topic but just to add that I would also propose to change his rating. I usually play against Nelson (1300) or Antonio (1500) who I both beat most of the times and definitely always when I turn off any music and just fully focus on chess. By accident I played against Jimmy and I lost, ... ok, no big deal, now I concentrate a bit more...yet again I lost, ....and again...and again.... 6x in a row... and he seems to not miss out on anything, no mistakes etc.... while he prepares and executes his attacks with high precision. That is def not a 600 level...
I just played Jimmy and he blundered his queen early in two straight games. Maybe he is back to his old ways, but he did seem much, much tougher a couple of weeks ago (whenever that "change" happened with the bots).
yes, my little son also just played him and won coz Jimmy blundered every second move. When I play him on "challenge" mode (i.e. no correction and no bar on the side, no hints), then again I can´t win...then I play Antonio on 1500 and I win ... so I think Jimmy just doesnt like me... hmm...honestly, there is something wrong with the Jimmy bot... still now to this date

I play jimmy take many of his pieces very quickly then at the end he has like 1 pieces and I blunder all mine or he gets good.
...yeah...but it seems he calculates the serious threat like 10 moves in advance ... and then pulls off moves that leave me in the ropes...

It seems a bad idea to play against adaptive bots because if its playing strength increases by playing, it will have a negative effect on you by making you feel like you're regressing while it's the adaptive AI. Jimmy (600) who is progressing.
I guess so, yes, a very bad idea. And when I lost against him 6x in a row... thinking that he is on 600 level then I was about to explode and wanted to ban chess.com from my laptop. But then I thought wait a sec, something must be wrong here, and that is how I came to this thread here. Anyway, if chess.com doesnt want to riks people like me, who are into chess, banning chess.com from our lives, then it might be a good suggestion to chess.com to change Jimmy´s rating or his improvement skills.
Let's talk about Jimmy, our chess.com bot. The first one with 600 rating. It says he is an adaptive type of player which means he adapts to your playing. But whats up with his rating?
He adapted too quick and he even adopted me
He has a great potential.
