Hi Everyone!  As you can see my score is not great, but I would love to participate in a group for beginners such as myself!  Are there any available?  Couldnt we create something to accomodate this group? We have to start somewhere, right?!!  I see all these live games, but dont know how or where to join in....

Any info will be appreciated!!  Miss Dolly in Calif!

Click on "Groups" at the top of the page.  Then where it says "Search Groups"
and "Keywords" type in "California" and click "Search".

You will see a list of many California groups that appear.  Just click on a group
and you can join one of them.

Live chess:

http://www.chess.com/livechess/myhome.html

(then click the big, green  "PLAY LIVE CHESS" button, near the top)

Can also be accessed by hovering the cursor over "PLAY" (Top green bar, left-hand side) and then clicking on "Live Chess" from the drop down menu.

i suggest my old group: "opening skills"

it's mostly for beginners, but there are some high rated players in it. the group focuses on practicing different openings which are played in tournament form. the super admin and admins are great people. i highly recommend it.
