I lost 240 rating points in online blitz, in two weeks , i went from 2006 to 1766.  I don't even feel like playing anymore now, it hurts too much.

Worst thing is I never expected to be ever under 1800 on chess com anymore, but it happened. It makes me depressed chess wise. How is this all possible?

Just look at your blitz stats for the last year or two. You typically fluctuate between 1750 and 2000. You're most likely at the bottom of your fluctuation, and you'll probably rebound any time now. Don't sweat it.

I went from 2136 to 1996 irl in 2 months. Get on my level.

Looks like you went even lower this time last year - holiday stress?

If it helps, look at your rating as a volatile long term investment.. wild peaks followed by depressing lows... but what’s important is long term gain - which your lifetime rating graph clearly shows.

When I am stressed, tired, or otherwise distracted, my rating takes a big hit. I use chess as a meter of my state of being. I wouldn't get stressed. Take a break, and something physical.

Sometimes something like this happens to me, and I have noticed that switching between online and OTB chess helps me want to play more, as just staring at a screen forever (or alternatively a bunch of plastic hunks on a sheet of vinyl) won't help anything.

The Title says it all. You lost POINTS. Ur playing for points and since u'll never have enough, it is best to quit now before wasting more time in the pursuit of a false idol. Chess is a Hobby, unless ur a Professional. Treat it as such and perhaps u'll be playing for pleasure and instead of points.

'nuff said. (*proceeds to say more*) I would just mention that getting better at chess can be part of the fun.

everyone runs into a bad steak occasionally. don't let it upset you too much. i would suggest to not play for a week or so. then, come back refreshed and relaxed. best of luck to you.

Which is why rare and medium rare is not always safe.

That's OK, just choose medium or well at establishments you're not familiar with.
