Karjakin at Corus ( Source ICC newsletter)
In the absence of the "big three" of Anand, Topalov and Kramnik, the young guns are making their move at the Corus 'A' Group, with Ukrainian teenage ace Sergey Karjakin retaining the sole lead on 4/6.
Karjakin, who still holds the record for being the youngest-ever grandmaster, did dodge a bullet though in round six as he somehow held on for a draw against young Norwegian Magnus Carlsen - a crucial save that keeps him a half a point clear of a determined chasing pack that includes Radjabov, Smeets, Dominguez, Aronian and Movsesian.
Anything can happen now at Corus with the chase being so tight at the top. And ICC Chess.FM has unrivaled coverage throughout, with Mig Greengard being joined each day by the usual GM team of Joel Benjamin, Larry Christiansen, Nick De Firmian, John Federowicz, Ronen Har-Zvi and Gregory Kaidanov. And after our live coverage, there's GOTD with our GM commentator selecting the best game annotated on video from each round - Click here to check it out now.
Also direct from the press room at Corus Wijk aan Zee, reporting for Chess.FM will be American Chess Journalist of the Year, Macauley Peterson, who will be giving us his video spin of all the action that can be found at the Chess.FM Blog.
Join ICC now to listen to all the action each day live as it happens, when it happens with our unrivaled GM commentary team - and get the chance to take part in three exciting competitions to win major chess prizes with the New In Chess Trivia contest, The GOTD Trivia contest, and the Everyman Chess Corus Call-in contest.
The main Corus website also includes reports from the A, B and C groups and an amazing, not-to-be missed picture gallery from ace photographer Fred Lucas (www.fredlucas.eu).
