There would be no interest in playing a modern engine, but Deep Blue might be interesting. Or another strong GM might take on that challenge if Garry Kasparov turns it down.
Kasparov is older and hasn't been playing competitively for a while, so he's definitely not at his best any more.
IBM still owns the original chip from the '97 DB memory. An acquaintance of mine works at IBM headquarters and tells me a talk was born between some employees to possibly begin negotiations with Garry.
