The Queen's Gambit is a very solid opening that does not take a lot of risk. The biggest issue I have is that you have to know a minimum of the first 5 moves of theory of so many variations to not get a positional disadvantage.

The King's Gambit is a wild opening that puts the game on a knife's edge immediately. You immediately weaken your king and if your opponent accepts the gambit, you have to play Nf3 or else you will lose in 10 moves. This opening requires the player with white to want to attack the f7 square as fast as possible. I find every game exciting, but you will lose more than you win for a while until you figure out how to put together fierce attacks. This opening has very little theory and is considered "debunked" so 95% of chess players don't study it, but it's only debunked at the GM level. I play it all the time and win.

In conclusion, the Queen's Gambit is safer, theoretical, and will not lose because of the opening. The King's Gambit is risky, exciting, and is decisive within 15 moves for most games. I will let you play both and find out which you prefer.
