Learning How To Play Blitz

True is that if you play more slow chess and study tactics or whatever related you should improve overall.  I used to play more classic chess but now just play blitz for fun i have been improving little by little following my own tips, my advice is this... have some ideas of the openings you prefer to use and/or reply based on your oponent move, im not saying you must learn by memory but always follow the  3 principles: control de center (pawns), develop the minor pieces ( bishop n knight ) and finally castle, this must be your first plan before attack obviously pay attention if there is a tactic chance but i play fast enough my openning in order to have more and better time quality in the middle game.
