When playing tournaments, let's suppose a 15|10 rapid tournament here in chess.com...
Does anybody know if it's possible to cancel a game once the next round starts and before you move a piece?
I couldn't and I had to resign in a situation like this losing points in a game with no moves, and the problem is that the previous round my game was the latest to finish. Then the system instantly started the next round. Otherwise there would be no problem, because there is enough time to go and leave the tournament without any penalty.

You might be able to click the withdraw link prior to finishing a game, though I don't know what that will do. I imagine that would work and let you complete the game you are on, but I would have to test to be sure.

Hi there,

I just tried clicking withdraw before the game ends, and It automatically resigns and leaves the tournament, so It's not a solution.
