Quite a few years ago, a friend purchased a lifetime USCF membership.  Did anyone ever hear of these being offered?

From what I understand, it used to be a good deal. Now, not so much.

If memory serves me, it was in the ballpark of $500-650. ?Undecided    I could be wrong.

Right now it's $1500 ($750 for seniors 65+). I don't remember the numbers in the past, but it was much cheaper.

I purchased my lifetime USCF membership in the 1970's for $200. I know someone age 77 who got his for $100. With the rise in prices of memberships over the years, my $200 was recouped about 1985.

An alternative is to invest $1500.  The interest and/or dividends will pay your USCF dues, and you'll still have your $1500 (there's no guarantee that this will work, but it has for me).
