I am not sure. I did hear some years ago, but cannot say if it is was true, that there were more books on chess than on any other subject. It certainly would be a vast list, constantly increasing.
list for all chess books ?

Google is your friend. If you google "list of chess books", this is the first link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_chess_books
However, I have my doubts if this list is 100% complete.
I have 440 or so chess books, and I personally know people who have twice this many. I've read there are more books on chess than all other games combined, which is easy for me to believe.
When I attend a large tournament, there's often a bookstore, and there are often a thousand different books or more for sale, most of which I don't have.

coombine thats hard to believe but I do believe theres more chess books than any other sport subject in the world.
There are a number of comphrehensive lists but not a single list of all chess books.
Here is a link http://www.chessbookstore.com/home/chess-bibliography

Google the Cleveland Public Library and look at their on-line list of chess books.
