Live Vs. Online Ratings - Disparity

I think it's become clear that Live Chess and the Correspondence Chess have vastly different rating skews.  For example, the 70% percentile on Live Chess appears to be about 1250 while the Correspondence Chess such a percentage lands you at about 1450.  At what point can you consider yourself a solid Live player? What's the difference in terms of thought processes, etc?  Any comments or suggestions regarding the differences between the two?

I know I am a much better online (correspondence) player than an actual live player. But only because I get to be very careful before I make my usual stupid moves.

add about 200 pts to your long game and that is about where you would be currently.  Your a 1250 live, your apprx 1450-1500 CC.  I am a 1350 live long, and around a 1700 CC.  That seems about right.
