The audio commentary is very difficult to hear. Sounds like they are in a large auditorium.

Very important "new guard v old guard" tournament underway here. Kramnik is fresh off of a good performance at Qatar. Will that carry over to LCC?

It is a large one, Olympia...Nigel Short is entertaining as usual.
wow anand playing the most complicated lines in semi slav this is good
other games are looking very drawish, and adams v caruana looks like a standard position...
unbelievable Adams - Caruana.
Caruana had a winning position, blundered it.
Adams had a winning position, played inaccurately.
Repeat 3-4 times, and Adams finally got it.
I wonder if Adams will be able to continue like this. The commentators (all British) were so funny when they spotted Qxe4 is possible, haha.
Nice games in the first round. Nakamura-Giri didn't get me interested at all , they played a draw from start to end .
I feel Caruana really gets into time troubles a lot.He decided to keep things complicated and then came under time pressure. Both sides had decent winning chances.Nevertheless, it was good to see Micky win a game. He's in really good form after his rapid win.
Kramnik-Vishy had me hooked .I didn't know if those moves had been played before until someone said that 29.Qd4 was a Kramnik novelty.the game looked crazy with Stockfish changing evaluations every minute.Vishy defended really well (i was worried about his play after the rapids) and even Kramnik showed he's in top form after the Qatar open. I was further amazed by the fact that Vishy played the entire game in like just 45 minutes while Kramnik had <15 mins left by the end.
A very interesting tournament is to follow . Brace yourselves , crazy games ahead.
No interest in this tournament?
Massive when it was a proper tournament.
Now it feels like more of a circus show.
Such a shame to see what was once regarded as the Worlds Best tournament so quickly devolve into a silly side-show.

Right that game was so back and forth. Caruana is going to be kicking himself when he goes through his missed chances. From completely winning to totally lost has to hurt a little.
Kramnik Nakamura is looking interesting.
Kramnik gets a knight on F4 that will never leave that square and Naka has an exposed King but has attacking chances on the queenside
R1:
Kramnik v Anand
Adams v Harry Potter
Nakamura v Giri
Rooting for Kramnik
