Long-term Game

I'm looking for someone interested in playing a long-term chess game with me. We'd use real boards set up at our own places, but we'd e-mail our moves back and forth to each other.

If anyone is interested please reply! At that time we can discuss who's white, and things of that nature. Smile

Online Chess allows for as many as 14 days per move, isn't that long enough term for you?  Surprised

Also, you should consider joining The Chess Turtles.

It's just that I'd rather play on a real board. Online chess is fine, and I play it all the time, but it's just not the same, to me anyway. Kind of like e-books: they'll never replace real books in my opinion. Thanks for recommending The Chess Turtles though! I'll look into it! :)

Cool! :)  Well, first we have to determine who's gonna be white. I just flipped a coin and I won, but we don't have to go with that. You can choose how we determine it.

Second is the layout of the board. This is the standard I believe:
...and to make a move you'd say something like "d3 to c4 (pawn takes knight)." Or just the "d3 to c4" if you weren't taking a piece, or putting someone in check. I just find the description nice as sort of a fail-safe when possible.

Is there anything you disagree with? If so, just speak up :) Particularly about who's white. You may not trust me.

Oh, and my e-mail is: macgyver08@hotmail.com
