well, advice is simple, what are your favorite pieces, learn to play around them and slowly build a team around them. use your favorite and incorporate other strong pieces together and learn by paying attention to how you move and your opponent reaction to them
Lost With No Sense Of Direction

You can't force what's not there. Sometimes, just building up your position and squeezing your opponent without any direct attack but perhaps with threats aimed at his weak-points that would cause him to react and lose initiative is sometimes the way to go.

When all you play is blitz, I think it's easy to fall into the same patterns game after game, and, yeah, this does nothing to help your progress. My suggestion is that you give Online Chess a shot. Play a few games where you have two or three days to decide on a move, and use that time - don't just automatically play the moves you usually play. When you are spending at least an hour on a move, you may find your creative juices start flowing, and you start to see plans you'd never find in a blitz game. I'll bet you surprise yourself with the ideas you come up with.
For the past few months I have been playing chess to no prevail. I have read about some opening theory, understand the roles of development, and am able to refrain from making most blunders... however; I feel that I lack creativity. Most of my games feel very similar, with the lackluster exchange of pieces occuring as I struggle for equality. I have no idea how to fix this, and often find myself losing horribly if I attempt to be more offensive or create counter-attacks. I feel lost, and as a result I must play in a mind numbingly boring way. Anyone have any help or recommendations for me?
