Magnus Carlsen is an embarrassment

Who else can win World Chess Championship game without moving queen and light square bishop at all? wink.png

The point in any competition in any game of sport is to win and magnus gave himself a better chance of winning because he will win more often in blitz against caruana then mess up the position wich was very diffucult that is why he is the best of all time.Chess players who play for the crowd wont become world champion as much as he.

Magnus Carlsen has a zero percent chance of defending his title next cycle

It’s a shame that Carlsen plays no one but mugs in his championship matches: Anand, Karjakin,  Caruana.

Fischer and Kasparov would both beat Magnus 7-0, Morphy and Capablanca would probably win like 7-3, and even Semyon Alapin would take it 6.5-5.5

But nobody told Kasparov to retire or the rest to die.  They couldn't handle the truth in Carlsen's play.  You need to embrace the truth.

There is always a chance that your assassination plot of spiking his OJ will fail. Especially since he doesn't drink OJ anymore.

I mean, its obviously a desparate grab for attention at this point. OP, you could probably do other things rather than post these delusional comments, can't you?

Nothing wrong with staples13- he is just following the prescription of his psychiatrist.

Maybe you guys are right, maybe I am being too hard on Magnus. He is obviously an incredible talent, the best player of his generation, and probably a top-25 player all time.

aurophoe

he won against caruana lol

also at least we got to see good games

mugs? mugs? mugs????? thats disrespectful. they are actually GOOD PLAYERS.

El_Chapeau12

Carlsen obviously knew he would crush Caruana in rapid, thought playing that position might have been a better choice. He could have tried to win that game or just give his opponent a draw, rest and play Caruanan in rapid while not being tired. Anyway, both choices seem understandable

El_Chapeau12

in the current generation, I'd say Ding is the best challenger right now. You really are disrespectful to Anand, Karjakin and Caruana. Good luck on getting 2770+ on your rating one day ! These guys are obviously amazing players, which are really talented and which were in tremendous shape in the Candidates.

Embarrassing behavior by Magnus Carlsen at the Fischer Random World Championship. He got crushed twice by a player much better than him and instead of congratulating his opponent or at least behaving like an adult Magnus decided to throw a huge temper tantrum. Embarrassing behavior, completely unacceptable by a reigning world champion. Congrats to Wesley So a much more deserving champion than the toddler from Norway

What did he do? Magnus is not a big fan of losing at chess...Wesley So is a really strong player and seems like a lovely guy, but he does have the charisma of an artichoke.

He threw a huge temper tantrum storming out of the building, lashing out at everyone, and refusing to speak to reporters (which he’s required to do)

Everyone hates losing in chess lol

It's like staples losing the stapler. Painful.

All he needed was a hug or an embrace.

Fischeresque diva behaviour.
