Magnus Carlsen Singlehandedly DESTROYS Racism with FACTS and LOGIC
If all the pieces were black you wouldn't even bother to play? Too much political correctness for you? ![]()
People are not mad at "losing their (alleged) privilege" but at the fact that the left introduced a fake problematic in a game that has been totally alien to it.
Seriously when will NASA propose to paint the whole moon in black because some big white stone floating around above us is a hate symbol?

Seriously you should be careful before exposing what you seem to believe are just left wing nuts radical fantasies out a in the public space. I have heard the painting has already begun
But it's not for the reasons you mentioned.
It is cute. This, however, is plain disgusting.
I almost vomited watching that video.
Like come on, set a realistic goal like reaching 1500 rating in a month or winning a local blitz tournament or something... don't try to beat the best chess player in the world after 1 month of practice.

You need a simple explanation. Like it's always better right?

I always find it interesting how the most vocal critics of stuff like this never seem to spend any time complaining about actual racism, just about attempts to stop it.
it's almost like you have some sort of vested interest.

Well put. This topic is important. Ultimately I would say it's not only about racism per se but more about knowing thyself altogether

Me too - "I'm an Extreme Learner..."
Surprised they didn't use clocks when he played Carlsen. Maybe he didn't get as far as extremely learning how to use the clock.

Isn't he who bothers me the most, actually, just one more scammer, he and the Wall Street Journal made their profit while taking people for idiots ("he had the advantage at some point, Stockfish says"). But it is obvious than the current World Chess Champion doesn't have too much respect for the game either.

Chess is great but it needs improving
It quite silly because it looks as though our champion and the infamous draw master are implying that chess is an implication of white-skinned people's superiority against the dark-skinned ones, and that has to be changed. The ad is a bad idea. I don't blame Carlsen and Giri, though. Chess is their beloved game. They looked at the ad with a different perspective or view, obviously.

colour means everything

Not sure if the WC making cash of taking part on a flea circus will be of great help.

Identity politics fuel hate. A white man snapped a couple days ago in New Zealand because white people have been massively insulted and demonized for the last couple years in the media. Why do you think hate will solve the racism issue?
I do criticize political measures if I think they make the problem they claim to address actually worse.
Thing is, if poverty, dependency and racism actually disappeared the left would go bankrupt immediately so they have to keep these issues alive in subtle ways (like cultivating jealousy, have people focus on made up problems, narratives etc).
Chess comes from a non white country and even in the original game, white starts so what the fuss?

so you think this advert, of which the core message seems to be "we broke a rule to encourage people to think differently about how colour can grant an advantage." and to just to give a highly respected man an opportunity to promote equality, constitutes hatred against white people? in what way does this advert demonize white people?
political correctness gone mad. keep the game the same.
Aren't you aware that half the pieces are black already? Hope you're not losing sleep over that too?
