Play chess as you gamble. The odds are eventually you will lose. Just use it to train your mind. Learn to lose with the knowledge that it is just a way of sharpening the senses and in just playing you have achieved your goal. This refers to intermediates. Above that I will never know.

I’ve read several volumes of grandmasters greatest games, studied chess theory, studied the most common traps, dabbled in opening opinions and now after all that studying they convinced me that even my first move is wrong LOL
