MASSIVE Losing Streak - Help needed!

My personal theory is that in recent days, I've been looking at games of a friend of mine, and his extremely low level of play is seeping into my games. For example:
Probably the best course of action for me is to study games of stronger players and stop enjoying the car crashes that this player calls chess.
oof

@pfren
I'd expect nothing less from a communist.🙄
The guy has a very shady past regarding his involvement with Soviet Government Officials during and after WW2.
@josephyossi
I hope that's not the true reason, though.

So, in your case it should be:
He, who has a strong opinion about tings totally alien to him, is stupid.
Nezh, raised in a very poor Muslim Tatar family, has never been a communist party favorite- hence his one and only appearance in a tournament outside USSR, which was enough to give him the IM title.
Please go on, give us more entertainment...

Such as many children at the time, Rashid grew up and was indoctrinated in the radical communist ideology of the Young Pioneers which was basically the Soviet's version of the Hitler Youth. He even recounts his first experience with chess to have occurred in a Pioneer reading room.
".....A few days later he went into the reading room of the first Pioneer group of the Communist Club and noticed some people bent over a board and moving pieces...."

The Soviet government permitting him only this one time to participate in a tournament outside of the USSR is obviously a testament of the regime's highly oppressive nature and their especially tight grip on public figures.
I really think you should do a little more research about him, but this is clearly off topic and I'd like you to open a new topic of your own about it.

lol I cringed at that to.
sanchez blunders too much so thats his own fault
I wouldn't say that.
The engine actually states that only very little blunders occurred in Games A-C.
There are however a large amount of inaccuracies which were found, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, as some perfectly sound line variations are often picked up as inaccuracies.
I myself get that a lot when I play the Traxler Gambit.
This one's actually from today:

He just went through another crushing 7 game losing streak, it's horrible right now.😕
I honestly think it might be lag, cause what else could be affecting a National Master like that?
I have experienced it myself, lag can sometimes affect the way you play, especially in Blitz and Bullet.
When you are used to premoving and generally fast placement, lag can throw you off your game.
The blunders are getting worse too right now though.

Yeah I talked to him earlier, he admittted that it's getting a little embarrassing now, but he suspects that there are a lot of cheaters around atm. I reviewed those latest 7 losses and they are truly crushing defeats by considerably lower rated players who are almost exclusively making either the best or excellent moves according to the engine.
Look, I don't wanna accuse anybody, but I agree that this looks a bit fishy.🤔
The last two games for example:

I know, I know.
But what other reasonable explanation is there?
A National Master with a +2000 FIDE rating doesn't just get crushed 7 times in a row like that, sorry but it just doesn't happen.🙄

Hmmm, I think your friend is just having a bad streak, asking why that is is as bizarre as asking why we have winning streaks.

And they say chess players must be smart lol.

Your friend is only 100 points below it's record, calling that a MASSIVE STREAK is misleading and I'm surprised you and him are concerned.

It is funny because yesterday I got a losing streak, too. I lost 200 points and i tried faster games to recover and it got even worse. I sleep and today i'm winning again. Maybe that's it. Take a break and play on the other day

Definitely, sleeping helps me too sometimes.
I see that you are a fellow Blitz player, so you'll understand how one can quickly collect losses with that type of time control. After reviewing the games I feel that he played ok though, his opponents were playing beyond sharp.🤔
I know, I know.

You take online ratings so seriously...hehehe they are a joke. If I recall, you were going to get a OTB rating? Now if a NM loses 7 in a row OTB, that would be a problem.

True it's not overly indicative of true skill, but if you play regularly it can become important to you, individually.
Also, a lot of tournament buddies often check your accounts.
Yeah, I am FIDE rated, 2227.
We actually represented Germany during the Australian Open shortly after Christmas.

I'm not seeing a pile of cheaters, I'm seeing your guy hanging a bunch of pieces to some very simple tactics. I wouldn't expect so many blunders from a NM, but then again, this is blitz, so I don't have a good frame of reference for what's "normal". I don't really play blitz, I just play daily games.
Maybe he's tilting and need some rest time.
