Masters that take their skills into the real world for $$$

I've heard of a lot of strong masters and gms entering the investing world and making good money.

This was another story I heard, not sure where or whether anyone has a link.

Two masters try a car buying gambit, end of week on Friday; they pay with a check after the banks close The dealer takes the check.  The masters then drive across town to sell their just purchased car to dealer two.  Dealer #2 knows the car was in dealer one's lot, and calls the police, who oblige and arrest the two chess masters for attempted fraud, assuming the check is no good.  They sit in jail until Monday, when their lawyer swings into action slapping the police with illegally arresting his clients.  This results in a big dollar payout!
