I tend to get good positions in this line, but often mess up the middlegame

This is a game from a little over a year ago. I am playing white. The time control was 30 minutes with 5 second delay.

This is a OTB 40/90, SD/30+30 game I've played in February in my last tournament. I posted another game in the same tournament last month, and I watched the rerun of your analysis as always (I also watch the weekly shows!)

This is a 60mins + 30 sec game in a small Malaysia tournament.

Games like this show why I am so pessimistic about my chess. I wish this was an aberration, but in most of my losses I am outplayed so badly in the opening or middlegame that I never even reach the endgame. This was a Daily Chess game played this month with 3 days to make a move. I have not done the computer analysis.

This game convinced me that I have to learn the Tarrasch variation just so I can avoid facing the Winawer. But my record against any variation of the French Defense is horrible.

hello

No OTB for the foreseeable future, so here's a recent online game, G30 with a 30-second increment Managed to get a bad position quite quickly, then tried to make things as hard as possible for my opponent. Should have been a draw, but White collapsed in the ending.

Hi Jesse,

This is a game I played at the Chesapeake Open in Jan where I gained a ton of rating points, started at 1886 and finished on 1952. This game was decided by a blunder by my opponent but I still had to do a bit of work to figure out the finish. I chose this game because I had lots of issues dealing with black's b5 approach in the Nimzo kmoch (f3). Please help me understand how to deal with it as white. Thanks!
