Men are better in chess than women

Intelligence and IQ do not relate to chess ability. I have a PhD and I am now stupid (but also no genius- far from it), but my chess rating is poor. I am of course makking the assumption that education relates to intelligence.
I know a lot of other people who play live chess that are highly educated and yet are poor at  chess. I have played people  at schools where I work that are SEN, but excellent at chess. Chess is more about pattern recognition.

I also think chess-strenght also is  about mathematical stamina. The strongest players can hold long and deep calculations in their heads, while normal ones gets pain in the head before they can calculate that deep. Maybe the strong ones calculates beyond the limit of pain?

Some men have such fragile egos. They need to tell others they are superior to prop it up. Go play Yifan Hou, Wenju Ju, or even Judit Polgar (who is retired), post the game, then tell me you are superior.

The why, what and how to the headline... per posted comments.

Men and Women are equal only if women put the same time and effort like men.

Women are outnumbered.

Men are simply better than women even in cooking.

Women have too many house chores to be good in chess.

Anyone with high IQ can be good in chess.

High IQ have nothing to do to be good in chess.

Chess is a pattern recognition.

Chess is to have a strong mathematical stamina.

Women needs lessen their girlie habits. i.e.: makeup, shopping.

Women looks better in bikini than playing chess.

Chess is about being on top and beating everyone.

Women are not as competitive.

Post is idiotic, moronic, stereotyping.

Chess is cultural.

Girls just lose interest earlier.

Feel free to add.

@SeniorPatzer. I'm glad I live in the USA. Otherwise, in some parts of the world, a simple statement could mean life and death. or the least, hard labor.

I agree. It's the same argument with black chess players. There just isn't that much interest in the game; leads to lower ratings on average. Interest, time, and effort are the common denominators.

But, are they better than HOU YIFAN???

Sadly, we  in the United States are gradually losing our freedom of speech by the efforts of militant Liberals through so-called Political Correctness.

I'm pretty sure I am worse then any of the Polgar sisters, You Hifan and a ton of other female players.

A lot of it is the culture.  I know some women players who are a lot stronger than I am.  The Polgar sisters got where they are by never playing in all-women events.

I wish that was true. It really could have meant an early end to chess treating women like they needed their own, segregated special needs section.

Sadly, only one of the Polgar sisters, Judit avoided the female section though. Iirc, she stopped playing in there at age 13 and never looked back, and her awesome success in chess easily validated that decision.

Her sisters did not do likewise though.

Susan Polgar collected the women's world champion title that Judit had scorned time and again, which made the female WC title have even less meaning.

Everyone knew Judit was the best female player back then by far, so despite being a strong player with a real GM title (as opposed to a WGM title) and multiple women's world championship titles under her belt, Susan Polgar never got the kind of recognition her sister got.

Instead, it made it very obvious that the official female world champion still had a large gap in playing strength towards the male players and only had gotten the title because Judit simply wasn't interested in competing for it.

I believe if more women back then had switched to the mixed section, then they would have had the benefit of playing with the best of the best, and consequently, their own game would have improved more.

Judit Polgar has proven beyond any doubt there is nothing wrong with the female brain in regards to chess.

Now if only more women dared to follow her example, then female chess might actually get the boost in popularity everyone seems to expect to magically manifest itself somehow from having a segregated section.

Therein, I think, lies the actual problem.

Everyone keeps talking about how the female chess section is there to promote chess to women and get more of them playing, but noone explains HOW this is supposed to be achieved.

I mean how does this look to a young female who might potentially be interested in chess ? "Oh look there's a board game that looks interesting. Hm I see, so there is a female section but it's much weaker and noone really seems to take it very seriously. Maybe this game isn't for women after all ?"

ahh but you see. insulting the other end of the spectrum isn't the way to go. you have no fucking clue what's going on on the liberal side, and claiming that we liberals are "taking away your free speech" is both an opinionated claim. Be more open-minded. And before you start, NO, i am not trying to make you think what i think. Just... have a little respect, K?

Did you feel insulted by what I wrote?  Why?  It wasn't directed at you personally.

That was when America was great, and we lived "One Nation Under God"

Now everyone is offended over everything.  the liberal mentality has poisoned this country, and if you dare speak out against anything, you are shouted down, accused of hatred, etc.  You are not allowed to have an opinion anymore.
