Chess is a game cut out for metaphors... relating to life, business, struggle..

If the chess pieces could each teach us a lesson, what would they teach us?

The King:

The Queen:

The Bishop:

The Knight:

The Rook:

The Pawn:

The King: Despotism can be troublesome
The Queen: Feminism FTW
The Bishop: Segregated churches can be a weakness
The Knight: Quirky routes might be the key
The Rook: Don't bring out the wall too early in a dispute
The Pawn: If you work hard, you get a promotion.

The King: Fat slow generals can cost you a battle.

The Queen: Behind every successful man (King) there is a woman (Queen). Give her all the power and she can take to the haven or destroy you.

The Bishop: If you get over differences you can work great in team (Black & White Bishop pair)

The Knight: Dont try to break the wall when you can jump over it.

The Rook: If you can focus and protect your heavy artillery, their fire power can do wonders.

The Pawn: (I cant beat yours cineblitz) Every screw in chess machinery is important. Take one out and everything can collapse.

- The King: No Sovereign is immortal. He that does not shepard the weakest in his flock, will be undone.

- The Queen: Power is best applied indirectly. Threaten and protect but do not strike, unless necessity dictates.

- The Bishop: The long reach of God is mightier with two arms. Hide your strength until the smoke of battle clears.

- The Knight: Advance with haste and prudence, ignoring the snares of lesser men. Through mud and blood to the green fields beyond. Your prize slumbers deep in the enemy lines.

- The Rook: The rooted Keep is soon stormed by men of action. Transfer noble advantage with the King to protect and serve.

- The Pawn: No man is an island. Even guardians require a brother's shelter. Occupy the high ground. Await your master to advance and all will tremble before you.
