Mike's Round Robin Tournament

 The tournament has started. So you can start all of your games. Good luck everyone.

So I'm doing this as a result of another tournament I entered on this site being a flop and wanted to create my own and hopefully make it successful. The turn tournament style will be round-robin where each player will player the other 6-9 people in their group once as black and once as white. After everyone has played their games the person with the highest score in their group wins. (Wins are 1 point, draws are 1/2, and losses are 0) I don't have any ideas for prizes unless someone has an idea. 

To register, post in this forum and say I'd like to join and post your rating at the time.  Registration will be closed on December 26th if enough people sign up. (Not earlier because I don't want this to interfere with the holidays) So if you are interested be sure to sign up before then because registration will most likely be closed. 

Depending on the number of people who register I will divide people into groups of 4-6. When registration is closed I will place the people into groups and create a spreadsheet on Google Docs which I will keep updated with the results.

Summary of Rules 

-All games will be started as soon as possible after registration is closed and I have ordered everyone into their groups. If you have signed up and haven't started any of your games yet, do so as soon as possible.

-All games will be 3 days per turn

-Don't overdue vacations or you will be disqualified. (More than 1 week is unreasonable unless there is sufficient reason)

-In the event of a tie, the players will play each other once again as white and once as black.  

-No late signups, the 25th (sorry) is the last day I will allow people to join.  

-All games are to be labeled "Mike's Round Robin #1/#2" for reference.  

-The game will only be rated if both players agree to it. If for some strange reason one player does not wish the game to be rated then it will be allowed.  

I hope this goes well and I look forward to hosting this tournament. 

You guys can start all your games now. If someone isn't participating or giving you a hard time about rules or whatever, let me know and I'll straighten it out.
