2000 is when you can stary to be taken seriously as a player.
Minimum rating to be taken seriously?

im only respected otb because i consistently beat a nm with knowing more theory, prep, and my opening

ive watched 2100+ players play and they dont play like the npcs of chess.com who only go for trap lines and londons and 1 movers
but strangely otb nobody really does that above 1100
I play a lot otb and lots of people go for londons/colles in my games.

1700+ players are quite seriously taken...they have the ability to win a won game.
I protest that, I can't!
Unless you mean up material in classical...
Professional Students pay the organization so that it has enough money to pay the award money to professionals, usually in matches in tournament towards sponsored titles. Professional Students keep playing a round-robun tournament, and only the few best could become a professional player. In IGo/BaDuk, there are InSei/YeonGuSaeng ranks that are internally labeled as 9 kyu/gup to 1 kyu/gup but are the same level as amateur 4 dan to 6 dan. These are the Professional Student ranks.
The old IGo/BaDuk used to have half-stone ranks, and Professional Players can demote. The lowest professional rank was ShoDanHo/ChoDanBeob, half a stone weaker than ShoDan/ChoDan (1 dan).
