Missing Game

I was winning a 30 minute chess game, clicked off the tab, and now it isn't showing on Chess.com. It is automatically taking me to one of my two daily games and doesn't show the 30 minute game anywhere. Very disappointing...

Weird, but you'd probably have a better idea of what happened if you were on the same tab for the entire game.

Whenever I play a live game, I stay on the same tab for the entire game; I don't even like switching tabs for music, so I listen to music from my flashdrive. I'm guessing when you left the tab, the game was aborted for a reason. You didn't lose on time and you didn't abandon the game, because those cases would have your game still show up in your game archive. What move were you approximately on? Maybe the game auto-aborted if you didn't make enough moves before switching tabs?

Cool name!

We were on move 58, it was my opponents move in a losing position, and they were taking some time. I went to another tab and must have closed the tab. Like you say, it's not in my game archive at all, it's like the game never happened!

Thanks @rselby You can read about my username here: https://www.chess.com/blog/KeSetoKaiba/kesetokaiba-username-meaning

As for your game, move 58 is much too far into the game for it to randomly disappear like that. The game abandonment link I showed only applies for moves 10 or earlier in the game.

The only thing I could think of is that chess.com servers aborted the game (server error?), or maybe it was part of an arena tournament and the arena ended mid-game; thus aborting the game. Since I think you'd know if you were in an arena tournament, I'm guessing maybe a server error erased the game.
