Missing Thread; what happened to it?

ok, so I was reading a thread about trolls this morning and suddenly it was gone. poof!

that was unexpected- I've seen locked threads, posts that were deleted (profanity,etc).  but never noticed a whole thread erased?

my question is, if the OP has his account closed, gets banned, or gets muted- is his threads deleted too?  that seems a little unfair to other people that might have said interesting things...

  I already asked if anybody knew what happened to the thread.  It was in the "community" forum.  but apparently no one knows....  let me know, if you know. peace.

I'm sure someone figured it either violated the Fair Play Policy or the Terms of Service and just tossed it.  I posted too, but wondered how long a whole thread devoted to "naming and shaming" would last.

now what about bans or mutes against the OP- does that effect their posts?

All I know for sure is that cheaters have their posts deleted.

I think so. I know someone who was muted recently, and all his content was gone for awhile, but at least some of it was restored before he was unmuted. I've also seen RJC mention that a muted person's content is removed, and he has some experience in that area.
