Mittens Bot - Did we actually just create an almost unbeatable chess engine!?

This bot is Insane! It/She gave a very good fight on the chess board.

But meaning that it's so strong, is it nearly impossible to beat?

What are your thoughts on this?

imanueltantodaud

Mittens can be beaten by clock on 1|0 game

However, its ELO is considered high (might be at GM level or slightly above them), so consider to blunder less frequently, and get the best moves as frequent as possible.

jsKikaru

There are videos on YouTube where stockfish beats mittens.

I think mittens bot is around 2900 elo if I have to guess. My friend still teased me about loosing to it regardless.

Hulsea

Erm... You mean, it beat you? We can see mittens as white.

Hulsea

Mittens is incredible as it is programmed to keep a steady advantage over you, it's not just the strongest bot at every move, and still, it doesn't lose. If somebody out there is an ultra GM and wants to have a shot at beating it, maybe take over some weaker player game?

I swear to you, when I first saw the bot I saw "Elo 1" and thought it was a joke by Chess.com to place the weakest bot ever for us to have some fun trouncing, so I went to my first game as relaxed as could be and I started to play well, accuracy above 90% and I was winning. I'm positive I was not playing as well as a GM or anyone well rated, just regularly well and lucky, and I was up after a few moves. Then inevitably I started blundering (not literally, just playing weak moves) and mittens started to take me apart, but it does not go for the jugular, it goes slow and steady. That's possibly the chink in its armour?

JulieMinkai

What did she say?
