Different folks enjoy different aspects of it. So it's hard to say what would work for you. When it all gets dreary, maybe play through some old romantic era chess games?

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you knew certain aspects of chess you can enjoy since my enjoyment in chess is lacking. First off to get to know me better as a chess player, I am an excellent player, been playing for very close to 20 years and I am a very highly ambitious player. I do have chess mental confusion due to health matters like not getting much sleep, Schizoaffective Disorder, poor diet, etc. I am a very basic, very tactical player (I like to follow the basic chess principles (even at an improver level despite my ratings, yes I know a lot e.g improve the position of the worst placed piece, outposts, weak squares)) I like very tactical very tricky play. So yeah what aspects of chess do any of you tend to think are the easier work to do and are enjoyable? Thanks.
