more new discoveries

I've already waxed lyrical about things I have discovered on Chess.com in an earlier post but here are two more things:

1. Explore - my knowledge of Book openings is rudimentary. Much as I would love to know the umpteen ways to play the Ruy Lopez or Queens Gambit declined, I don't have the time or energy. But rather than be at a major disadvantage, Chess.com comes to rescue with its extensive encyclapedia from which I can select the responses that suit me best - although once out of the book I am on my own (which is how it should be).

2. Groups - ok I have received the occasional invite to join a group which I ignore or politely decline becoz there seems no good reason. But I have recently signed up to three becoz it puts me in contact with folk the world over with similar interests (that are shared) and playing games for the team gives my chess.com experience an added edge.
