Legal moves can't be disabled by the opponent, more so by the server. From experience, you might not see it but you may be referring to an illegal move (which you think is legal), especially for beginners.

Is it possible that opponent can disable a valid move under circumstances in course of the game? Can sever failure be attributed for disablement?
