hey,

sometimes i see an opponent moving his pieces in 0,1 sec at the end of games. how is that possible, because no human could ever make like ten moves in a row in 0,1 sec each? does someone have an explanation for that?

it's premoves. You can turn it on in the settings. they pick their move as you are making yours

It's called "premove."

Hi Stephen,

You can click on your piece as usual to move before your opponent does and it will program an automatic move to be made immediately after your opponent moves. Since it is programmed and not technically played in real time, it only deducts 0.1 of a second from your time. You can make up to five premoves at a time, so this is how you can make five moves in 0.5 of a second.

The risk is that your opponent may not move where you think they may and your premove would result in a loss of material or position that's not worth the time you saved. If you see this is happening, there's no need to worry. You can simply right-click the premoved piece and it will remove the programmed premove for you.

Premoves are most helpful when you know for a fact your opponent must make a forced move or for recaptures that will only be played if your opponent captures a piece or pawn of yours because otherwise the move wouldn't be possible, so you don't risk anything.

They are also very helpful when you are  so low on time the only way you can survive the game without timing out is to use them so you have chances.

I hope this helps.

Hi guys, Learning, could you please talk to the tech team to see if we can just have straight time. Also, could you please talk to Erik the founder of Chess.com to see if he can impliment a Auto Kick System. You would cut all cheating that happens on the server. BF2,3 and 4 Call Of Duty, Farcry etc all have Auto Kick systems, it would grately help. Thank you.

Why do you think he is any more accessible to us than he is to you? It's possible he could read your post.

Unless you know why someone disconnected/abandoned a game, you cant penalize everyone.  You dont know the reason they did not complete the game.  Sometimes things happen like, power outage, kid unplugs the modem, cat walks across the keyboard, emergency arises, etc.

I think he is addressing Learningthemoves specifically, who is a staff member.

Hi JonSnowKnowNothiingg,

The premove feature is pretty much standard so I don't anticipate it being removed, but please do feel free to make the suggestion in the Site Suggestions forum so it can be raised for consideration. There is already an auto-detection system in place to alert us of suspicious play. The reason it doesn't automatically kick is because the moves must be analyzed by a team of experts who make the final determination. While we don't allow discussion of that topic here, you can join the cheating group to discuss it there and you are more than welcome to create a thread in the Site Suggestions forum for your idea about the feature to make premoves optional. It will be much more efficient that way since it is the channel set up specifically for these kinds of suggestions.

It is my pleasure, JonSnowKnowNothiingg.
