Anything; doing homework, watching TV, having a rap battle, etc.

I do not grade papers while playing chess, but I sometimes do while watching football. It helps my students root for the Seahawks.

Sometimes I'll read / post in the forums while playing anon unrated 3|0 blitz on lichess.

Although it should be said that because the players you typically play in that format are slow and terrible this is pretty easy to do.

Many players try to multitask and fall into the trap of developing all of their pieces. Focus on moving one piece at a time until it is captured, then move another piece.
