My 630 Elo Jump

So I was trying to get the achivment for playing 10 chess 960 Games, so i tried A game of 3 Minute 960 and the game wasn't starting for like 10 seconds. Until out of no Nowhere Chess.com send me to a 1180 Elo in chess 960 and i was somwhere around 300-400 elo in chess 960 becouse i didn't play it before. this is how the game went

Yea somehow chess.com give me 630+ Elo.

i am preaty shure that is one of the biggest elo jumps ever.

Oh yeah this happened to me too! Seems chess.com will copy your blitz rating to your variant rating when you play. But for 960 it is incredibly confusing if not used to it, so for me as well I'm rated a lot lower than my blitz rating lol.

Oh but wait...you aren't 1180 in blitz. Ok im really confused now....maybe a bug?

Any new game mode, the rating jumps pretty wildly and could be pretty far off for the first few games. It settles close to your actual rating after a couple dozen games though.

Ohhh wait, I understand it now. It's because that game where you had the checkmate in 6 moves (lol) gave you hundreds of elo points, apparently.

thanks for all of the discussion. it looks like chess.com Elo adding algorythm dosn't handle big differences to good anywhay that makes Blitz 960 My best (according to elo) category after only one game LOL
