... no these finished games are not blitz games ...all of them are correspondance chess games...

How much time do you spend a day playing Chess to keep on top of 1000+ games? I'm struggling with 10. 
Plus I find it hard to remember how I got into certain situations and what my overall plan was. Any ideas on how to counteract this?

Congrats on your milestone. That is a lot of play in a short period of time.
I'll probably not reach that number on this site, as I find others better for blitz, and I'm struggling to eliminate my addiction to blitz (any one else want to start a twelve-step blitz addicts group?).
However, my database of games from all sites going back to 1998 (and excluding all games played with a time control under three minutes) assures me of two numbers:
I have lost nearly 20,000 games
I have scored slightly higher than 55%.
I'll be fifty next spring.

I am at 30,000 recorded lifetme games (1969 to 2009) at the end of the year.
I don't understand why you play so many games. Do you learn anything from them ?

..i was little curious if my games on the web reached 20000 games ...but i founded them +16000 games only :)) ....i hope i will exceed 20000 games in my next birthday :))...
