My troubles
if you've been told you have alot of talent; got a good rating but falter in your improvement plan... my strong advice is a coach.
I love mine. There's 10zillion coaches. many of them are priced very reasonable barely more than a few books really...
MUCH more instructive than a book; espacially if other activities (tactics, annotated games, reviewing your own games, endgames) don't seem to be working.
i actually dont even spend tons of time playing chess. i dont study my games, nor do i look at books. i have a life, children, work, and go to nursing school. So i am not left with alot of time. But i still want to improve. I feel i have not peaked at all. I love to take chances, and sacrifice. But often it does not pay off.
im having serious chess issues as of late. i need serious help.
I just can't play a good game. My rating is about 1700 online. I have beaten many 1800's and 2 1900's. But lately, i cant put it together. I get into many positions and am lost on what to do. Or i'm made out to look like a fool in 20 moves.
I have been told i have talent, but at the same time have a problem coordinating that talent into an organized gameplan. This is very frustratng for me. Who wants to help me?
