Need a new chess desktop program

Hey I just upgraded my computer and my Chessmaster 11 is not working. Perhaps because it’s from Windows XP LOL. Regardless I love Chessmaster because of the tutorials in the ability to do puzzles and see different types of opponents. Does anybody have a program they recommend for desktop that would be similar or better?

If you actually want to pay for something, I think Fritz 16 is quite good and worthwhile. The Komodo version using the Fritz interface is also worth considering.
But I would try Lucas Chess first and see if that scratches the itch.
